Newmarket Notables

Sponsor a Newmarket
Notable

The Newmarket 300 Committee is offering  Newmarket Notables commemorative banners for sale this year. All proceeds will help to defray the costs of our 300 celebration events scheduled throughout 2027.

Why purchase a Newmarket Notable?

Honoring a notable local historic figure preserves community history, educates people on our past, inspires future generations, and strengthens local identity. It maintains a tangible connection between the past, present, and future, ensuring that the unique story of Newmarket is not forgotten. This commemorative banner represents a Newmarket resident from the past who has made an indelible mark on our town’s history and growth, or a more recent person such as Laurence Beauchesne.

Who is a Newmarket Notable?

This commemorative banner represents a past Newmarket resident who has made an indelible mark on our town’s history and growth. This might be a historical figure such as Newmarket Mills Agent Ambrose Nichols or a more recent person such as Laurence Beauchesne. The Historical Society has a list of suggested people, but essentially you can promote someone who is historically important with a banner.

If you would like to honor a Newmarket notable, please fill the form below and place an order with us. You will need to upload a photo, and a proof will be sent for your approval.
