New Look, Same Committee!

Hello! As you have found by visiting our new website, we have a brand new look. Along with these exciting changes, I thought I would review what our 300^th Committee is all about. The Town of Newmarket created a committee to help plan for our tercentennial celebrations. Our charter with the town includes forming a committee and working with the community to plan for events and activities that bring focus to our history and the people who have helped to build this town over the years. The stated intent was to foster a sense of collaboration within existing organizations and businesses and to provide some help with bringing events to fruition. We do have a reasonable budget, and with our new website we now have improved ways of sharing and marketing activities with you. Working together in community, we help bring events like the Stories of Newmarket book launch to you. A good example of collaboration is our June 14^th Mural Unveiling and Community Sing (hyperlink?). While The Arts, Culture & Tourism executed the planning and painting of the tile mural and will host the singing, the unveiling will be co- sponsored by our 300 Committee. We will be hosting the ice cream social, flags and event music as our way of commemorating this event and our USA 250^th anniversary. Hope to see you there!
