USA 250/NEWMARKET300 will host a brief history lecture by Michael Provost, and a showing of the movie "A New Hampshire Family 1775". Originally produced in 1975 in honor of the USA Bicentennial, it features many townspeople and members of the 1st New Market Militia and was filmed at many local sites as the story of the Moffett family and their son Eben, a young NH man who enlists in the Continental Army and experiences the fighting following Bunker Hill and goes through the fighting at Brandywine and the first horrible winter at Valley Forge, This film is based on fact, but the characters do not represent real people. The event is FREE and open to the public. Limited seating, doors open at 6:30 pm. Newmarket During the Revolution Series. Free. 50/50 Raffle, Refreshment Sales.
